Personal work & notes

thewildbot.

Aspiring photographer and filmmaker.

A personal note

I am still learning.

I often get asked what camera gear I use, which settings I shoot with, and how I grade my footage. I still consider myself a beginner. I make a lot of mistakes, but people rarely see those mistakes on social media.

Most of what I know has come from years of watching tutorials and trying things for myself. There are guidelines and rules that can help you make better videos, but they are not absolute. Sometimes the best work comes from understanding those rules and choosing when to break them.

I created this page to help or inspire a few people who want to learn how this work is done. There is a lot of gatekeeping in this industry, and many tutorials on YouTube and Instagram feel more focused on selling presets, settings, or LUTs than sharing useful details. I want to explain what I know openly and honestly.
